Founded in the Etruscan era, Vulci is one of the oldest testimonies of the Etruscan-Roman history of the Maremma Toscolaziale area.

Vulci it was an ancient Etruscan city, one of the main ones in the empire, located under the municipality of Montalto di Castro and today it is one of the most important testimonies of Etruscan culture, with the ruins of the city, the necropolises and all the other buildings that date back to a period between the 7th and 5th centuries BC. the Vulci area is only 30 km away.

Vulci has become a Naturalistic Archaeological Park, particular in this part of Italy, which hosts a large number of visitors every year, fascinated by the possibility of discovering the history and events that concerned the Tuscia area.

The Vulci Park offers the possibility to choose between various itineraries, which will lead to the discovery of the Etruscan and Roman culture, through the observation of ancient times, dedicated to the historical divinities, ancient villas and homes, sanctuaries and necropolises, with frescoed tombs .

Vulci also hosts an Archaeological Museum, with an interesting exhibition of finds found in the adjacent area, housed within the premises of the Abbadia Castle, dating back to the 9th century, which is flanked by an ancient Etruscan bridge, referring to the 3rd century BC

The beauty of Vulci is also increased by the presence of the WWF Oasis, a protected reserve that is structured around the course of the Fiora river covering an area of 295 hectares, it is a humid and marshy area, a natural habitat for many animal species, among which we would like to mention the gray heron, the mallard , and the otter, very rare, the vegetation of the protected area is interesting, with willows and poplars.
