Saturnia Festival

The Saturnia Festival is one of the most loved events in Saturnia, a festival dedicated to music, from classical to jazz, in the splendid setting of Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Saturnia. Organized by the A.Ponchielli Philharmonic of Saturnia with the patronage of the Municipality of Manciano, the event takes place every year in the second half of August. It is an event of excellence in Maremma, an unmissable event for all lovers of good music!

Focarazza Saturnia

The Focarazza in Saturnia is one of the most beautiful and well-known events, an unmissable event to celebrate the beginning of a new year together, with music, good food and lots of fun all night long! Linked to the pagan tradition in the rites of celebration of the god Saturn, the focarazza, a large bonfire that is placed in the center of the town square, the fire has the function of purification to hope for a new and prosperous year.

How to reach Saturnia, the Terme di Saturnia and the Cascate del Mulino

Saturnia is located in the province of Grosseto, in Maremma Tuscany, in the municipality of Manciano. Saturnia and its spa are about 150km from Rome, 200 km from Florence and 450 km from Milan. The closest railway stations are those of Grosseto, 57km away, Montalto di Castro, 45km and Albinia, 49km. For those arriving by plane, the closest airports to Saturnia are Rome Fiumicino (150km), Rome Ciampino (170km), Pisa Galileo Galilei (210km) and Florence Amerigo Vespucci (200km). It is also possible to reach Saturnia by bus, with the TIEMME lines for Tuscany and COTRAL for Lazio.

For those arriving by car from the north:

  • A1 Milan-Florence motorway, Firenze-Certosa exit, Siena-Grosseto highway, exit for Manciano, follow the signs for Saturnia, or
  • Motorway A1 Milan-Parma, A15 Parma-La Spezia, A12 La Spezia-Grosseto, exit Grosseto est, direction Manciano-Saturnia

For those arriving by car from the south:

  • Rome-Civitavecchia motorway, Civitavecchia exit, Aurelia SS1, Montalto di Castro exit, signs for Vulci-Manciano-Saturnia
